Jowena Cheng

I have rich bicultural experience having grown up in the United States for over 16 years before moving back to Singapore permanently in 2014. My professional experience expands over seven years and includes work as a behavioural therapist, associate psychologist, and assistant manager at a private counselling centre. I have worked with children, adolescents, and young adults from a variety of populations ranging from special needs to the incarcerated community.

My Passion & Focus

My overarching goal is to enhance mental wellness and reduce stigma associated with mental health issues. I work collaboratively with each individual to increase their awareness of and capacity to resolve challenges by helping them access their innate strengths and resources. My focus lies in guiding my clients towards personal growth and self-empowerment to live life meaningfully by using a strengths-based, positive psychological approach that emphasises aligning one’s values and actions.
